Nikki and Iain are a real outdoorsy kind of couple, always travelling and everywhere they go their dog Marley goes with them. I say dog, but Marley is more like a daughter to Nikki, never excluded from a family event and this one was no different!

I loved that they chose to get married at Monachyle Mhor Hotel. It’s a beautiful place to get married. As and Edinburgh wedding photographer, I alwys love travelling for weddings so was delighted to head over to the west to shoot this special day.

Their family and close friends joined them in this beautiful location to celebrate their marriage and enjoy a long spring day that was so warm it felt like a destination wedding in Tuscany. This was a venue that felt like no other I've shot in before due to its dramatic landscape and rural surroundings. The ceremony was held on the front lawn of the main house and provided a gorgeous backdrop for their guests to admire.

With a glass of fizz and a beer in hand we ventured down to the loch to grab some photos. Nikki and Iain were great sports, never batting an eyelid having to climb fences and stomp through fields with me to get these drmatic shots. The loch is stunning and so glad we had the time to get down there. I could have spent much more time exploring the area but i promised myself I'd be back to shoot more weddings at Monachyle Mhor one day!

The evening involved a stunning meal in a barn, a fire pit and some crazy-ass dancing late into the night.

Lia and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this one. The people were amazing and Nikki and Iain were an absolute joy to work with. Congratulations again and we wish you three (Marley included) all the best for the future.
